LETTER: Keeping dogs under control

I write to remind all dog owners who walk their dogs on public footpaths that they are expected to respect the farmers and their livestock.
Recently there have been cases of people walking dogs off leads among sheep and cattle and causing mayhem, stress and in some cases death to farm animals.
