Hackers claim to have a database that holds more than 500 million phone numbers - including over 11 million in the UK.

A hacker has claimed to have possession of around 500 million WhatsApp phone numbers. The database has been put up for sale on the dark web.

It was revealed in a post on well-known hacking forum, BreachForums. The individual identified under the codename ‘Agency123456’ has said that 487 million WhatsApp user phone numbers will be affected by the leak.
