Bognor boss Jack Pearce says his side won’t succeed in the Isthmian premier division if they cannot hold on to leads late in games.

But as he reflected on a 2-2 draw at Bishop’s Stortford in their league opener, Pearce said he saw plenty to be pleased about.

He has warned that his young, new-look team will need time to gel but said there was plenty of promise.
