Hinshelwood’s men lost 2-0 at Maidstone United with goals coming from Ryan Galvin in the 41st minute Jack Barham in the 90th minute. But Hinshelwood was full of praise for the players. "You never like losing a game, but I thought the spirit and the manner the lads played was excellent and I am really proud of their performance tonight." Cameron Tutt, in his first game since suffering concussion, Danny Barker, and Lewis White all returned to the side for the game, which delighted Hinshelwood. “The balance of having two left footed players at the back was great but the bravery the boys showed to play was first class. "I wanted them to enjoy playing at a venue like this and I couldn’t fault them at all. "Every single one of them gave a good shift. "I honestly believe if we stick to how we play with that spirit and that conviction and bravery it will serve us in good stead going forward.” With postponements and results going against Worthing recently, they now go into a busy festive period where they host Hampton and Richmond on Boxing Day (3pm kick off) before a trip to Bath City on Thursday December 29. They then have a return visit to Hampton and Richmond on New Year’s Day. Hinshelwood said: “It’s alright doing it here [Maidstone United] but we have got to do it now for three games next week. "Obviously we want to enjoy Christmas but at the same time we have three big games coming up to really push on. "But like I say, if we stick to that performance level I think that will serve us well and we will be a tough team to play against. "The confidence and the belief should be there but at the same time we have lost 2-0, we don’ t like losing games and that' s a few on the bounce now and we need to turn that round.’”
